What is the Seahorse XF96? The Agilent Seahorse XF96 Extracellular Flux Analyzer is a highly regarded research instrument used to measure the metabolic activity of living cells in real time. It simultaneously measures mitochondrial respiration (oxygen consumption rate, OCR) and glycolysis (extracellular acidification rate, ECAR) in a 96-well plate format, making it an essential tool for cancer research, immunology, stem cell biology, drug discovery, neuroscience, and metabolism research. Product Description Complete Agilent Seahorse XF96 Metabolic Analyzer System This system was decommissioned from a University Pharmaceutical Sciences Department following an upgrade to a newer model. According to the previous laboratory, the instrument is largely functional. They advised that several drug injector ports may be faulty and that some detection probes may require calibration . The manufacturer no longer services this end-of-life model, which is why the laboratory upgraded.
