The magnetic stirring function has been tested and works perfectly . The hot plate heats; however, the heating performance has not been fully verified. The unit may require calibration depending on your application. During testing with an infrared thermometer, the hot plate surface did not appear to heat evenly across its entire surface. This may simply be normal operation for this style of hot plate, or it may indicate the unit would benefit from servicing or calibration.
