An Eppendorf 5415R centrifuge brought back to life

A repaired Eppendorf 5415R refrigerated centrifuge
Another piece of lab equipment saved from landfill. This week Charlie McNamara repaired an Eppendorf 5415R refrigerated centrifuge that had been written off as "non-functional". The fault ended up being a failed power supply, which left the unit completely dead. After a full teardown, repair and testing, it's now fully operational again and ready for reuse. At Uni Lab Exchange, our goal is simple: - Keep scientific equipment in circulation - Reduce e-waste from research labs - Recover value from decommissioned instruments - Extend the life of high-quality equipment like this Eppendorf unit If you have surplus equipment, Uni Lab Exchange has the skills, experience and tooling to collect it and give it a second life. Get in touch to turn your surplus into sustainability.
