Varian turbomolecular pump controller rehomed to a lab in South Korea

Another win for circular research infrastructure. Uni Lab Exchange recently sold a Varian turbomolecular pump controller, decommissioned from a university laboratory. Through collaboration with a University of Melbourne department, the equipment was recovered, tested for basic operation, and released back into use rather than becoming e-waste. The unit was sold on commission for $2,000 and is now heading to a research lab in Yongin-si, South Korea, where it will continue supporting scientific work.
